Facing obstaces in your daily inventory

Obstacles

The first time I trained for a triathlon I was not concerned with speed; I just wanted to finish. I assumed that the running and cycling would be easy for me so I focused my training on swimming. When the day came, I completed the swim in the middle of the pack, completed the bike ride just fine, and then . . . could not run at all. What a disappointment! I had never trained for running after cycling, and my muscles just wouldn't make the transition.

Lighting the way

Had I bothered to research how to train for  triathlons or asked for advice from someone with experience, I probably would have been able to finish the race.

Stopping to anticipate obstacles isn’t about worrying or fearing what’s ahead; it’s about being prepared. By thinking about what could stand in your way, you are not as likely to be caught off-guard.

DailyInventory.net encourages preparedness by helping you reflect on potential obstacles each day, so you don’t make the same mistakes tomorrow.  This practice can build resilience muscles needed to face challenges.
